The government published its plans for the deployment of 5G technology in Spain last Friday. Minister Alvaro Nadal said the new technology will provide high bandwidth mobile connections so boosting services in rural areas, and the first frequency bands will be auctioned early next year allowing operators to launch pilot projects. 5G is expected to have an economic impact of up to €14,600 million before 2025.
