Over 50,000 new vehicles were moved through Málaga’s port in 2015, an increase of almost a fifth on the year before. The figures published by the Ports Authority last week consolidate the port’s position as the regional leader for such business, and make it the seventh most important on the Iberian peninsula.
The Authority said that two shipping lines, Neptune and UECC, made 90 landings of vehicles during the year from Tangiers, the UK, Belgium, Romania and Turkey. The units were destined for dealerships in Andalucía, Extremadura and Portugal.
