Average winter rains will guarantee Málaga’s water

If rainfall is low over the next year, irrigation water could be restricted

THE last year has been the driest of three consecutive dry years in the province of Málaga, according to the regional Environment Department. However, it adds that the volume of water presently stored in reservoirs is enough to meet demands for human consumption and irrigation throughout 2016-17, assuming the year’s rainfall is normal, when compared to historical averages.
