Almost 50 animals are reported to have left the former Peña Escrita zoo outside Almuñécar this month to be cared for in Belgian and Dutch rescue centres. The operation has been coordinated between the local council and the Foundation for the Assessment and Action in Defence of Animals.
I hope that the poor old bears went to good homes?
