Alhaurín goes for ham-carving Guinness record

Plates of jamón to be on sale to public for €5, with proceeds going to charity

ALHAURÍN de la Torre is holding a mouth-watering Guinness World Record attempt this weekend, and raising money for charity in the process.

More than 350 professional cured-ham carvers are expected to descend on the town for the event on Sunday (November 12), which aims to set records both for number of people cutting ‘jamón’ at the same time, and for the total amount of ham sliced.
