The first centre in Europe to be dedicated to the study of flooding and measures to minimise the effects of the blight in the Mediterranean area will be situated in Orihuela.
Regional president Ximo Puig said meteorologists and scientists will study ‘all the changes which are taking place’ in the climate and analyse how the area should adapt to cope with the situation.
