TORREVIEJA’S coalition council has been forced to close the Virgin del Carmen cultural centre after an ‘exhaustive inspection’ found deficiencies in its fire prevention system.
Mayor José Manuel Dolón stated yesterday that the building, which is used by thousands of people each week, would be shut down with immediate effect.
