Whistleblower gets job back

A NURSING home employee suspended for four years without pay for criticising the centre’s procedures is likely to get his job back.
Andrea Pastor Zorita’s talks with reporters earlier this year led to an exposé in the press about poor treatment and conditions at Dénia’s council-run residence for the elderly, which included revelations about rough handling when ‘loading’ the men and women onto the centre’s bus, and even a lady getting locked in a cupboard for hours.
Pastor Zorita insisted his criticisms were aimed at ‘improving the quality of a public service’, which is in everyone’s best interests.
