Public health rules for the ‘new normality’

The government has approved the measures which will cover public health safety when the state of emergency ends on June 21.

The Royal Decree was passed at a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday and the green light will now be sought from Parliament.

As well extending the current obligation to wear a face mask in public places, health minister Salvador Illa noted that companies providing countrywide or international transport services (including flights) will have to keep the contact information of passengers for at least one month and provide it so people can be traced ‘when necessary’.
