MORE than a quarter of a million patients in the region benefited from the elimination of the ‘copayment’ prescription charges in the first week of this year, announced the regional government.
Councillor for health in Valencia, Carmen Montón thanked pharmacies and orthopaedic equipment companies for their help to bring in the measure ‘without any problems’.
The exemption from the charges applies to around one million people, including pensioners with incomes below €18,000 per year and people with disabilities.
