A load of bull

Dear Editor,
I would like to applaud Torrevieja town hall on its initiative to use inflatable bulls during its recent fiestas.
Feelings run high about real bulls being used in local fiestas and, although I would never presume to tell the Spanish people what their culture and heritage should involve, I myself would never go to see a bullfight or a fiesta activity that means setting fire to a poor creature’s horns.
However, the ‘bull running’ through the streets here last week was hilarious and everyone of all ages enjoyed the spectacle.
So well done to all those concerned!
