The regional department for health reported 11 new cases of coronavirus in the Valencia region on Wednesday, taking the total number to 74.
This is significantly less than regions suffering more severe outbreaks such Madrid, where there are 1,024 cases – 50% of the total in Spain – 31 of whom have died.

I’m not convinced by the figures. A friend of mine (aged 82) died just over a week ago with pneumonia. She was a diabetic. She wasn’t tested for the virus but, until she felt unwell, was very active and appeared healthy.
