No deaths from coronavirus have been reported in the Valencia region for the last three days, councillor for health Ana Barceló reported yesterday evening.

She said the figures ‘give hope’ and show a ‘clear advance in our fight against coronavirus’.

However, she added that ‘we cannot forget for one moment that there are people and entire families who have lived through a really terrible period’.

A total of 1,432 people have died from coronavirus in the Valencia region (provinces of Alicante, Valencia and Castellón) since the outbreak began.

A total of 12,315 have made complete recoveries.

Sra Barceló reported that 10 new cases of coronavirus had been diagnosed in the region during the previous 24 hours using PCR tests.
