Members of the public and the authorities are being asked to report any signs that turtles may have laid eggs on beaches and to ensure that any nests are not disturbed.
The turtle alert campaign was presented in Santa Pola last Thursday.
Anyone who spots a turtle or tracks is asked to call 112.
