Regional president Ximo Puig will ask for the whole of the Valencia region to progress to phase two of the government’s exit plan from Monday, June 1.
Speaking yesterday (Sunday) following a video conference with PM Pedro Sánchez, Sr Puig said the documentation to support the move will be supplied to the health ministry this week.
He noted that they had detected an increase in the reproduction of the virus in the middle of May, but the situation had improved and was now ‘more favourable’.
