Postal votes

Dear Sir

Like many other expats I have applied for a postal vote for the referendum this year. However what worries me is that our votes will never be counted.

Royal Mail have been dispatching mail from England to Spain via THE NETHERLANDS.

I have had various mail lately that way and it takes about three weeks to reach me. Worse, I have noticed that this always includes mail from the Government Offices. It doesn’t seem to be all normal mail so it’s difficult to tell what the difference is.

When I registered to vote I believe it said that some areas only send out forms four days prior to the vote. So I wonder if it will be that none of our votes meet the deadline.

Can anyone shed any light on the Royal Mail situation?

Yours faithfully

Ann Wilkinson
