I am frankly amused by the rant from Mr. Whiteside Re: Brexit. He suggests that all Remainers are undemocratic, so why would they bother to vote in a Referendum?
Then he states that Remainers consider leavers to be stupid etc.; well as this saga unfolds, many of the leave camp are apparently now uncertain of what they voted for, as the details of the divorce seem to change weekly.
So perhaps, instead of lambasting “project fear” he should ask questions about the other side whose promises have been shown to be just as ambiguous.
To suggest that Remainers finances may be dodgy (without a shred of evidence) is clutching at straws and insulting.
And finally, after stating that Britain is a divided Nation he wonders where the pride in the country has gone! Many older people voted Leave and when asked why invariably answered immigration.
Perhaps they should be considered the selfish ones as the younger generation who want to stay in Europe would find it very hard to travel or work and see other cultures because of the dogma of the British Bulldog mentality that we can stand alone.
It is the youth who may have had future opportunities taken away and it is ironic that according to statistics many elderly Leavers may have died since the vote and by the proposed final divorce in May 19.
Therefore, a new referendum would be a lot truer picture. Especially if considering and adding on the many thousands in Spain (and thousands more in Europe) not allowed to vote because of the 15 year rule… now that was undemocratic Mr Whiteside.
