Veteran midfielder Xavi Torres is fighting to clear his name after being found guilty of corruption and accepting illicit payments in a top flight match-fixing scandal.
Born in Jávea, the 33-year-old was a Real Betis player in the 2013-14 season and caught up in the Osasuna Case – notorious for bringing Spain’s first ever convictions for sporting corruption.
