Although the flames have been extinguished, firefighters were still in situ today (Tuesday), pouring water on the smouldering land burned by the blaze in Azuébar.
The photo – taken by the regional emergency services department – shows the blaze in progress at the weekend, with temperatures of 40ºC complicating the battle against the inferno in countryside which lies inland from Sagunto, off the A-23 motorway.
