Cautious optimism over summer tourism

The Valencia government is ‘moderately optimistic’ about the summer tourism campaign which in recent years has seen millions of international tourists visit the Costa Blanca and other areas of the region.

Regional secretary for tourism Francesc Colomer noted that the season would ‘not be like any other’ and they expected many tourists to make ‘last-minute’ reservations.

  1. It was reported on UK news that bars/restaurants etc in Spain will no longer accept cash. We visit Gran Alicante every August, can anyone please confirm if this is still the case? Thanks
