Jávea wants its own fire brigade.
Mayor José Chulvi met with chiefs at the provincial fire brigade headquarters in Alicante and urged them to at least set up a temporary station for summer.
He pointed out that Jávea’s geographical ‘peculiarities’ make it a potential tinderbox.
