Cash-strapped council turns to café exchange scheme for onward maintenance costs

Plans for a new park in Turre are underway after the provincial government agreed to part finance the project.

The development is being undertaken in response to residents’ wishes, according to mayor Martín Morales, but amid concerns the council will not be able to afford to maintain the park after it is built.

The leisure area will be located next to the school on a 14,000-square metre plot, and will include an “amphitheatre-type area” for plays and concerts and a playground.
