Police sealed off the street where the shooting happened

By David Jackson

Three members of a notorious gypsy clan from Albox known as ‘Los Pertolos’ have been arrested and charged in connection with a drive-by shooting in Almería city last Wednesday (July 26).

Innocent bystanders fled for their lives after two cars drew up on a street in the La Cañada neighbourhood and several people opened fire on the driver of a third vehicle, although no-one was hurt in the incident.

A major police operation was mounted and the area was quickly sealed off by heavily armed specialist units. Within 24 hours, investigators had identified and located three assailants, who were hiding in a nearby house.
