British residents across the province have been struggling to come to terms with the Brexit vote this week, with confusion, disbelief and dismay being the primary reactions.

Mayors of towns with a large British immigrant population have responded with statements of solidarity, but the prevailing mood is one of uncertainty, with pensions, health care and residency rights being major concerns.
