Buying a beer in a popular seafront bar on Vera Playa need not involve scrabbling around for a few euros any more after its owner decided to accept payment in online currency.
Colin Podmore, who has run the Pub Millionaire for 11 years, jumped on the Bitcoin bandwagon after choosing to invest more than €300 in the notoriously volatile digital currency.
He is not alone – Frankie’s Bar and Bar La Reva in Vera have joined forces with him and all three will now take Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin in payment, as reported by Spectrum Radio’s Richard Shanley, who encouraged them in the venture.
