Almería hotels among ‘worst in Spain’

Hotels in Almería province have obtained one of the lowest rankings in Spain in a survey carried out by online travel company Trivago.

The province came 46th out of 50, with Alicante, Murcia and Málaga faring not much better at 45, 41 and 40 respectively.

The German-based company is a travel search engine comparing prices and trip experiences for more than 730,000 hotels worldwide and receives around 45 million users each month on its 47 international sites.

In recent rankings published by the site hotels in Almería were awarded 77.90 points out of 100, with only hotels in Tarragona, Castellón and Huelva faring worse with between 76.10 and 77.60 points.

To formulate the rankings Trivago analysed opinions on more than nine million hotels in all the provinces and regions of Spain.
