National Police have arrested 25-year-old Gareth Bryan Edwards – one of the UK’s 10 Most Wanted men to appear in Operación Captura this year – after he was spotted at a local pub in Benidorm’s popular Brit Zone (also known among holidaymakers as The Square on Calle Mallorca).
Edwards, who has three-life sentences for violent robbery, fled after police asked him for his passport and was chased to a holiday apartment block where he was arrested trying to hide in an empty swimming pool.
