Large drugs finds in La Viñuela and Antequera

NATIONAL Police officers in Vélez-Málaga have detained four Spanish men in their 30s after a large cultivation of marijuana was found in La Viñuela. In a separate operation, 22 people have been arrested in Antequera for allegedly growing marijuana to be sent to the Netherlands.

In La Viñuela, investigators confiscated 1,399 plants which were being nurtured using power illegally fed from the national grid. They were discovered at an isolated property from which a strong smell of marijuana was coming, along with the sound of machinery operating, although there was no contract to supply electricity to the house.
