Former Parque Animal shelter director convicted over 'massive' and cruel euthanasia practices

THE former director of the Parque Animal shelter and municipal pound in Torremolinos has been found guilty of animal abuse and document fraud in relation to what the public prosecutor called “massive and unjustified” euthanising of animals.

Málaga’s number 14 criminal court sentenced Carmen Marín to three years and nine months in prison, plus fines totalling €19,800, in a ruling that can be appealed to the provincial court.
