Regional government invests in huge new antenna

THOUSANDS of families in the Vega Baja experiencing interference on their television sets since the big switch over from analogue to digital have been told their reception problems are over.

A new antenna in San Miguel de Salinas - turned on this Monday - will improve reception to 120,000 homes in San Miguel, Los Montesinos, Orihuela, Pilar de la Horadada and Torrevieja as well as Crevillente and Elche, say the regional government.

It has been installed on a 30-metre-high mast in Ciudad de las Comunicaiones urbanisation.
