Debts stop bullfights

Benidorm bullring becomes a blood free venue

BENIDORM council is set to put its bullring to greater use after the national bullfighting commission said that no bullfighting events would take place there until a debt owed to it has been paid.

The commission said that the businessman that held the concession to stage bullfights had not paid up and until this happens nobody else will be allowed to take over. Because of this ban the council is planning to use the facility to hold more diverse events there during the year.

It has been some time since a bullfight was held in Benidorm and this has allowed for the serious deterioration of the complex but under a new council plan it is to be given a makeover.
