Brit driver wanted

Guardia Civil are trying to locate the driver that killed a British pedestrian in a hit-and-run incident in Torrevieja on November 3 have identified a suspect.

They have published a copy of the driving licence of Louis William Connolly, born in England on January 1, 1987.

They say as the owner of the vehicle is another British citizen living in Alfaz del Pi, Mr Connolly could still be in Alicante province.

After meeting with Neighbourhood Watch, who expressed their ‘great interest' in collaborating, officers hope the British community will help locate him as a matter of ‘the highest urgency'.

Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) president James Herbert asked anyone who might know Connolly to get in touch with their local NHW coordinator or the Guardia Civil on the emergency 112 number.

"We have been asked to assist in finding this person and would urge anyone who knows of his whereabouts to let us know," he told CBNews today.
