Benalmádena’s local council announced on Friday that it is starting the administrative process of carrying out restoration work around Torremuelle’s watchtower on a subsidiary basis – contracting the work and charging the business owners who painted parts of the area white and constructed a wall. The news comes after the business owners had agreed to undertake the project themselves (CDSN 1013), but a council statement said the action was being taken after giving the business owners “a reasonable period” to start work.
