High-speed fibre-optic cable will reach all areas of Mijas, thanks to a modification in the town hall’s agreement with the four companies installing the network, said officials last week. The companies will pay the town hall a flat rental rate by linear metre of cable, rather than a percentage of revenues, which will reduce their cost, making full coverage economically feasible.
