A CRUEL gang dealing in what were supposed to be purebred horses has been busted by the Guardia Civil. They scammed insurance companies by having the horses killed in fake road accidents or due to bogus illnesses.

A total of 24 people are facing charges and another four were arrested in nine Spanish provinces.
