THE Royal Navy has launched an investigation into an incident in international waters off the coast of Gibraltar last week, which saw a nuclear-powered submarine collide with a merchant ship. HMS Ambush collided with a vessel at around 1.30pm on Wednesday July 20 whilst carrying out a training exercise and the accident forced the submarine to dock in Gibraltar just after 9pm.
