A SPANISH fringe-party politician was arrested in Gibraltar on Monday after he and several others allegedly hung a large Spanish flag on the mountainside on the west side of the Upper Rock.

The Vox party stated that its president in the Madrid region, Nacho Mínguez, had been arrested after the group unfurled the 18-by-11-metre flag shortly after 1.30pm. It said the move was aimed at demonstrating that the effort “to recover full Spanish sovereignty [of Gibraltar] will never cease”.
