PP to press for planning law change

July deadline mooted to modify rules on ‘illegal land divisions’ that affect thousands of expat home owners

Partido Popular dignitaries and expats met last week in Fines to discuss planning reforms

Andalucía’s main opposition party, the conservative Partido Popular, has said it will add pressure in parliament to force through a bill before the end of July on the long-mooted amendment to regional planning law.

The announcement came following a meeting in Fines last week between the PP’s environment spokesperson in the regional parliament, Patricia Navarro, and representatives of the expat property rights associations, AUAN and SOHA.
