Junta crackdown on Chinese shops

Nearly 50 bazaar stores in the province were fined for not complying with opening hours regulations in 2016, according to the regional government.

The majority of proceedings taken against the general stores, known colloquially as ‘Chinese shops’ and mainly run by Chinese or Moroccans were for opening on Sundays or bank holidays without permission, the Junta said.
