Almería’s tourism chiefs are exploiting the province’s links with The Beatles to the maximum and will be present at this week’s Liverpudlian Beatleweek 2016 – the world’s largest grouping of fans of the fab four.

Home-grown Beatles expert Adolfo Iglesias has been invited to Liverpool to give a talk on how John Lennon wrote his hit song ‘Strawberry Fields Forever’ in Almería 50 years ago while filming the dark comedy, ‘How I Won the War’.
