Abandoned dogs classed as potentially dangerous will no longer be put down immediately on arrival at Almería city’s municipal pound after a motion tabled by the Socialist PSOE party in support of adoption was approved at a plenary meeting this week.

The proposal by the opposition PSOE party was aimed at scrapping the controversial law dating from 2004.
